As i was looking over some pieces i did for customers, i think this was one of my favorites. Probably because I'm so drawn to black & white. But this fainting couch with swan carved detail (if you look close you can see the swans head going up the side). Hounds tooth so soft, pretty & stylish, But while doing this piece, i didn't realize there was a certain direction each tooth went in, so when calculating fabric, I didn't think about that- Which Makes a HUGE difference on the amount of fabric needed.

Just one of my favorites i thought i would share.
Love it! You are so talented!

WOW...what a transformation!!!Upholstery is something that I have never tried, just too time consuming for my brain to handle, you do beautiful work. I have some pieces in my home that I'm sure you would love to tackle, but I'm one of the gals that likes the EXTREME shabby look, they are perfectly fitting to my lil' pink shack, with it's original unpainted plaster walls, with lathe showing through here and there...extreme and I love it!
ReplyDeleteIt was fun strolling your blog.
Have a wonderful week...

That is gorgeous. I took an upholstery course years ago and decided that was an incredibly difficult profession. Upholsterers earn every penny!
